My brothers birthday

My Brothers birthday
On Saturday 14th of June he was turning 13 it was my brothers birthday my brother doesn’t know where we were going but everyone else did so we couldn’t tell him where we were going because he’s always wanted to go where we were going. We were going paint ball cause my brother always wanted to go there.

When we got there all of us were so excited, nervous and happy (my brother) when we got in there my mum asked if me and my cousin wanted to play paint ball and me and my cousin wanted to and didn’t want to at the same time but then when we saw how sore it was but then when we saw inside of the gaming area it was'nt paint the bullets were bb gun bullet’s then me and my cousin said yes so we can play. Then when we said “yes we want to play” then my mum thought that we should wear it then she got two one pieces for me and my cousin cause I was wearing shorts and she just wanted to wear the one pieces cause she was wearing tights and she didn’t want to get hurt.

When we got in our teams New South Wales verses Queens Land. Then Malcume the person that was in charge of the Paint ball place he gave us the mask’s for our protection so the bullets won’t hurt our face.
Malcum told us about the rules that “If you don't want to get shot then you will have to put up your hands so you can cross the middle, If some things wrong with your gun then you will have to come back where you came from to go in the map and There’s flag’s around the place so you will have to pull the rope so it can be your colour blue or red.” You will have to hide from the people and try not to get hit. When we got our guns we were so excited but we couldn't go in yet cause some people were still in there but then when we got in there they warned us not to go in there cause there was a stag for a person and he had to dress in super woman and he had to stand still so they can shoot him.

We had three games of Paint ball it was really fun, hurt full, exciting, funny, it was fun and it was kind of disgusting. My brother had a exciting birthday and he was very tired at the end of the day.Two of the boys sleeping over and we all played play station 3 games one on one we were playing black ops or call of duty on the play station 3, My cousin James kept on winning and killing us on the game he's good cause he plays it every day.

That day was really exciting and tiring cause we were walking around. That day was really sore and I had a good time. Here are some photos about the day.

Tamaki tech

Tamaki tech
On Thursdays class 2 and class 4 and class 1 year 8’s walked down to tamaki to do tech. The first time we went down to tamaki college we were lost and both of the classes that were year 7’s we were walking all over the place, but when Mrs, Squires told us that we were at the class that we never went to so then when we saw your teacher when he opened the door he introduced himself and his name was “ Mr, Grundy” Then we went inside.

When we went inside it was very cold inside and it was very warm outside. Then we had to start learning about the metal that we were going to use. The medal that we were going to use was called “ Pewter” we weren’t going to use gold or silver even though the colour of silver but it wasn’t the real silver if we do it to big then it might look cheap.

Firstly when you get the cardboard that you have to draw your project you will have to write your name on it first so he can know witch one is yours. Then you have to turn your drawing over and roughly mark where it is, you will have to put your MDF under your paper then you will have to put your pencil on the back of your final drawing.Place your MDF under your drawing, Carefully trace your final design, Pressing quit hard.

Your design will have transferred to your MDF.Using the scroll saw to cut out the shape from the MDF.Mark the outside pieces. Now were ready for shaping on the sander shaped and ready for pouring. Now we can melt the pewter.Pouring the pewter in the cardboards. Now we have to leave them to cool. Now after we have seen our project we have to cut off the the sprue with a junior hack saw.drilling the hole into the cast with the bench top pillar drill.

Now we have to use the needling files to get a great finish on the edges.Hold the work in the bench vice for areas that need more filling.Getting a good finish. Here are some of the sand papers:firstly you get the 180, 400 and 1200 then you can use 1200 grit water.Wipe off the grit. Now you will have to polish with brasso for the final shine.Adding the clip to the project.

I really liked doing hard matreals at tamaki. When you are a year 7 or 8 and you got down to tamaki and your in hard matreals here is a hint that you will do in hard matreals.
